This statement explains how Bread Funds UK (“we”, “us” and “our”) handles and uses the personal information we collect about people who contact us to enquire about or join a Bread Fund for processes relating to our operations and activities.

How we use your personal information

We collect and process your personal information for a number of purposes, including:

• Maintaining your personal details (e.g. your name and preferred contact details), including ensuring effective communications with you.
• Keeping financial records (e.g. payments to and from Bread Fund groups).
• Ensuring that you receive the relevant information that you have requested.
• Evaluating the project for the purpose of improving it.
• Managing complaints made to us.

Our normal legal basis for processing your personal information is your consent, which you gave at the point you expressed interest in Bread Funds and which you can withdraw at any time.

We keep your personal information for as long as we need it. If you have been a member of a Bread Fund, tax require us to keep records for 7 years after your membership of a Bread Fund ceases.

How we share your personal information

• If you are not a member of a Bread Fund, no personal information will be shared outside of Bread Funds UK and its member groups.
• If you are a member of a Bread Fund we may share some of your personal information with Alternative Choices Ltd, a provider of back-office services for the purposes of financial administration of the Bread Fund.

Your rights

You have the right to be informed about and access the personal information that we hold about you. You also have the right to ask us to correct any inaccurate personal information we hold about you, to delete personal information, or otherwise restrict our processing, or to object to processing or communications, or to receive an electronic copy of the personal information you provided to us.
